No. 3 SMU defeated Virginia Tech 3-0 in Blacksburg, scoring twice in the first half before adding a penalty kick late in the game. The Mustangs held the Hokies to eight shots and recorded their sixth clean sheet, improving to 8-0-1 overall and 3-0 in ACC play.
