Poland detains three teens accused of neo-nazi school and mosque attack plot

On Sept. 22, 2026, Polish prosecutors charged 17-year-old Paweł G. with preparing a terrorist attack whose aim, they said, was the killing of many people, with a school and a mosque among the targets discussed. ABW had detained him the prior week. He was also charged with promoting Nazi and fascist ideology, inciting racial hatred and attempting to purchase weapons. A court ordered him held for three months. He faces up to 15 years if convicted and has denied the charges. Justice Minister Waldemar Żurek said a home search found weapons, explosives and items bearing Nazi symbols. ABW said two other suspects, 16-year-olds Kacper K. and Wiktor Ś., were detained in the same probe into online neo-Nazi activity on Telegram and Discord. Kacper K. was placed in a juvenile detention centre for three months; Wiktor Ś. was placed in a police holding centre for children. ABW said Paweł G. belonged to Atomwaffen Polska and co-founded Bierut Soldier ZNB, that some conversations included elements about planning potential attacks, and that participants analysed the modus operandi of terrorist attackers as inspiration. ABW also reported a German minor who declared readiness for an armed attack and forwarded that information to a foreign intelligence agency, which opened proceedings.
