A US district judge in Missouri dismissed with prejudice Annie Altman's civil lawsuit against her brother, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. Judge Zachary Bluestone cited her refusal to appear for a court-ordered independent medical examination despite warnings that noncompliance could bring dismissal. She filed the case in federal court in St. Louis in January 2025, alleging sexual abuse and rape at their family home in Clayton, Missouri, between 1997 and 2006, beginning when she was three and he was 12; she alleged the last abuse occurred when he was an adult. Sam Altman, now 41, has denied the claims. In a joint statement on X with his mother and brothers, the family said Annie has mental health challenges, that they had supported her financially, that "Despite this, Annie continues to demand more money from us," and that she has made "deeply hurtful and entirely untrue claims about our family, especially Sam." Santos Perez, who withdrew as her lawyer in October 2026, said he is no longer authorised to comment but continues to believe in Annie. Attorney Laura Politi did not comment. The order ends the claims with prejudice.

The judge warned her multiple times so this outcome is on Annie for refusing to follow through with the case.
If she really wanted her day in court she should have taken the medical exam instead of forcing a dismissal.
