Obama Rallies Ohio Democrats, Criticizes Trump and Ramaswamy
Barack Obama rallied thousands at Cleveland’s Public Auditorium, urging Ohio voters to support Democratic Senate candidate Sherrod Brown and gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton ahead of the Nov. 3 election. He criticized President Donald Trump’s economic record and administration, saying the races offered voters a chance to rein in the administration and bring change. Obama also condemned Republican gubernatorial nominee Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign ad featuring Acton’s estranged mother; Ramaswamy defended the ad despite criticism from some Ohio Republicans. The closely watched contests could affect control of the Senate and determine whether Democrats regain the Ohio governorship, which they have not held since 2011.
