Porsche operating profit rebounds to €1.74 billion even as revenue falls
Porsche reported a sharp rebound in operating profit to €1.74 billion for the first nine months of 2026, compared with €40 million a year earlier, even as revenue fell 5.9% to €25.3 billion. Lower costs and a stronger mix of high-priced models, particularly 911s, helped lift profitability despite declining sales, weakness in China, U.S. tariffs, product gaps and a slower-than-expected electric-vehicle rollout. The results are an early test of CEO Michael Leiters’ turnaround strategy, which includes downsizing and pulling back from China; Porsche confirmed its full-year guidance.
