Rapta Raises $8M to Expand AI Defense Manufacturing Platform

Oregon-based Rapta raised $8 million in a funding round co-led by Voyager Capital and Access Venture Partners to expand its AI-powered Manufacturing Intelligence Platform across defense, aerospace and other precision-manufacturing markets. The platform combines computer vision with production data to provide real-time work instructions, quality verification and automated traceability for parts, processes, tools, operators and quality records. Rapta says its software is used by five of the 10 largest U.S. defense contractors and helps manufacturers unify fragmented production data without replacing existing infrastructure. The company plans to use the funding to broaden deployments, reduce manual documentation and improve quality, compliance and production performance.
