Rays Build Elite Staff Through Pitcher Reclamation

Rays pitching coach Kyle Snyder has helped turn several pitchers with uneven or disappointing records into standout contributors, including Bryan Baker, Drew Rasmussen, Freddy Peralta, Nick Martinez and Cam Booser. Since Snyder took charge in 2018, Tampa Bay has regularly fielded one of baseball’s strongest pitching staffs, helping the club win the American League and reach the World Series. The Rays led the league in WHIP, ranked fourth in opponents’ batting average and seventh in ERA this season. Manager Kevin Cash praised Snyder’s ability to build trust with pitchers and adapt to new information about pitching.
