Report: iPhone 18 Pro Sales Rise 3.1% Globally
Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max sales rose 3.1% globally in their first three weeks, exceeding the iPhone 17 Pro series’ launch-period sales. China led with 29% growth, supported by better early supply and higher prices for competing Chinese Android flagships; excluding China, overall growth would have been much weaker. Sales declined in the U.S. and Japan, where higher prices dampened demand, and U.S. consumers saw few substantial feature or design improvements. The Pro Max made up 56% of series sales, down from 57% a year earlier, as emerging markets including India and Southeast Asia showed stronger growth for the standard Pro model. Counterpoint says the durability of China’s demand, a possible recovery in the U.S. and Japan, and the upcoming iPhone Duo launch will help determine how sales develop after the initial launch surge.
