Dutch tour coach overturns in Swiss Alps, several dead

A tour coach carrying about 48 passengers from the Netherlands overturned on Thursday between Susch and Zernez in Switzerland’s Graubünden canton, leaving several people dead and others injured. Police said the coach struck a crash barrier before overturning on an embankment, and no other vehicles were believed to be involved. Several ambulances and helicopters were sent to the scene, while authorities withheld the precise death toll and victims’ identities pending notification of relatives. The coach reportedly belonged to Dutch tour operator Oad and was traveling from Austria on a day trip to Switzerland. Swiss authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
