South Carolina opens its 2026–27 women’s basketball season against Maryland on Monday, Nov. 2, at noon ET at Adidas Arena in Paris, with the game airing on ESPN. The No. 1-ranked Gamecocks are coming off a 36–4 season that ended in the national championship game, while Maryland reached the second round of last season’s NCAA Tournament. South Carolina has won the teams’ last six meetings and leads the all-time series 7–2, including a close Sweet 16 win in 2025. South Carolina’s Joyce Edwards and Maryland’s transfer forward Nunu Agara are among the players expected to shape the matchup.
