Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson placed second in 1:56.26, while Dutch runner Femke Broeders-Bol finished third in 1:56.74. The victory capped Werro’s breakthrough season, during which she won the European title and recorded 1:53.70—the third-fastest time in history and the quickest in 43 years.
