Logano Wins Bristol After Late-Race Incident
Joey Logano won the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, leading the final seven laps after Ty Gibbs and Carson Hocevar battled up the track on a final restart. Kyle Larson finished second, followed by Hocevar, Christopher Bell and Gibbs, while Larson moved one point ahead of Denny Hamlin in the playoff standings. Logano led 93 laps and won the opening stage; Ryan Blaney won Stage 2, and the 500-lap race featured 13 lead changes and 10 cautions. Hocevar’s contact with Blaney while racing for second led to a postrace fight in the pits before team members separated the drivers. The race also included tributes to the late Kyle Busch, including a commemorative No. 54 Toyota and a fan towel wave on Lap 18. Separately, Joe Gibbs Racing accused Spire Motorsports of violating a court order in an intellectual-property lawsuit, while Spire denied wrongdoing.
