Norris Urges Colapinto Race Ban After Baku Pileup

Lando Norris called for Franco Colapinto to receive at least a one-race ban after the Alpine driver locked up at a safety-car restart in Baku and collided with teammate Pierre Gasly, taking Norris out of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix as well. Norris said drivers should anticipate low-grip restart conditions and argued that careless crashes carry significant costs for teams. Colapinto acknowledged making a major mistake and apologized to Gasly and the team. Stewards gave him a 10-second penalty, which was expected to translate into a grid penalty at the next race.
