No. 1 Miami Dominates Pitt to Extend Unbeaten Start

No. 1 Miami extended its unbeaten start by dominating Pitt on the road, combining a prolific passing attack with two rushing touchdowns from freshman Javian Mallory. Darian Mensah threw for 387 yards and four touchdowns, including three scoring passes to Malachi Toney, while Miami’s defense limited the Panthers and helped the Hurricanes pull away after Pitt briefly responded. Pitt entered the game seeking an upset amid questions about its quarterback play and discipline. Receiver Malik Knight returned quickly from shoulder surgery, but his comeback was not enough to change the outcome.
