Okafor Lifts Leeds Past Tottenham 1-0

Noah Okafor scored 97 seconds after coming on in the 79th minute to give Leeds United a 1-0 home win over Tottenham, ending Leeds’ five-match winless run and Spurs’ three-game winning streak. The victory moved Leeds above Tottenham into eighth place in the Premier League. The match was overshadowed by a lengthy VAR review of Jayden Bogle’s first-half challenge on Mathys Tel; Bogle was not sent off, and Tel later left injured, prompting anger from Tottenham’s bench. Leeds also had an unsuccessful first-half appeal for a handball penalty.
