Amazon Unveils Five New Alexa Devices

Amazon unveiled five Alexa devices in a staggered October hardware rollout: the Echo Show 16, Echo Dot, Echo Studio with Home Camera, Echo Time bedside clock and Alexa Photo Frame. The $499.99 Echo Show 16 has a 16-inch screen, Fire TV, smart-home controls and a night-vision camera, and is expected to ship in December; an optional anti-glare version costs more. The $99.99 Echo Dot adds a smart-home hub and Eero Wi-Fi extender, while the $249.99 Echo Studio adds a camera for room monitoring and Alexa interaction. Echo Time offers optional sleep sensing, and the $199.99 photo frame selects and displays pictures from Amazon Photos. Amazon is expanding Alexa+ with features including smart-home mapping, personalized display experiences and deeper research capabilities, as it moves toward more premium devices amid competition from Apple and AI companies.
