Trump Allies Spend $277 Million on Midterms
MAGA Inc., President Donald Trump's flagship super PAC, spent nearly $277 million since the beginning of September to back Republicans in the midterms, federal campaign finance filings show. It sent $200 million to No Going Back PAC Inc. and $25 million to Safety & Affordability PAC Inc., and spent about $33.8 million to $34 million directly on ads against House and Senate Democratic candidates, including James Talarico. The group opened September with nearly $416 million and still held more than $164 million as of Oct. 14. GOP strategist Corry Bliss said the total is more than any president has ever spent, by far, on the midterms. On Oct. 20 Trump wrote on Truth Social that $300 million had already gone to advertising, voter contact, rallies, get-out-the-vote and election-integrity efforts, with plans to spend over 400 million dollars by Election Day. AdImpact put advertising by three Trump-affiliated groups above $256 million, including tens of millions in the Texas Senate race for Ken Paxton against Talarico. MAGA Inc. has raised $449 million since launching two days after Trump's re-election, with donors including Diane Hendricks, Stephen A. Schwarzman and Steve Wynn. Three GOP-aligned super PACs have raised a combined $2.1 billion, versus $1.3 billion for Democrats.
