Two Face Attempted-Murder Charges in Detroit Airport Crashes

Two men have been charged with attempted murder and other offenses over separate crashes in which vehicles struck terminals at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Prosecutors say Brian Sutton drove into the McNamara Terminal in January, injuring three airport workers with glass and debris; David Chamlee allegedly drove into the Evans Terminal in May, forcing two women to flee and leaving them injured by debris. No one was seriously hurt in either incident, though both crashes caused substantial property damage. Authorities say the incidents appeared unrelated.
