Coldest Septembers Across 10 States Since 1895
Stacker used National Centers for Environmental Information records dating to 1895 to rank the coldest Septembers in 10 states: Tennessee, Vermont, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Nevada, New Hampshire, Georgia, Delaware and Alabama. The rankings are based on each state’s lowest average September temperature, with accompanying data on statewide highs, lows and total precipitation for the listed years.
