Saudi Airport Attack and Drone Debris Kill Three, Injure Ten
An attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam late Wednesday killed one and injured eight, GACA said. Wounded ranged from minor to critical and were taken to hospitals; flights were diverted. The same day, debris from a drone intercepted near the Shaybah oil field killed two people—Filipino and Nepali nationals—injured two, and started a fire in a contractor vehicle. Saudi authorities said they intercepted four drones in the Eastern Region. The strikes follow an October 10 attack on Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport that killed 12 and injured more than 300, and an October 11 strike there that killed one and injured 11. The US State Department ordered nonessential embassy staff and families to leave Saudi Arabia. The US embassy in Riyadh warned of possible further Houthi attacks. Houthis have not claimed the Dammam attack. No left-rated coverage is in the record; two center and four right outlets are rated. Responsibility for the Dammam strike and the scope of further US mission withdrawals remain unresolved.
