Bob Dylan meets Pope Leo XIV after anti-nuclear lyric quote

Bob Dylan met Pope Leo XIV in a private audience at the Vatican on Wednesday, November 4. The brief encounter included greetings and lighthearted exchanges; Dylan reportedly gave the pope his memoir, and Leo gave Dylan a rosary. The meeting drew added attention because Leo had quoted Dylan’s anti-nuclear lyrics in a preface to a book on peace and disarmament. Dylan was in Italy for performances on his current tour.
