Ilhan Omar Goes on Profane Rant About Murdered Activist Charlie Kirk

MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA - AUGUST 28: U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) (C) speaks during a press conference at City Hall following a mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic School on August 28, 2025 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. According to Minneapolis Police, a gunman fired through the windows of the Annunciation Church at worshippers sitting in pews during a Catholic school Mass, killing two children and injuring at least 17 others. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) launched a vulgar and unapologetic tirade against slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk after his assassination at Utah Valley University.

According to the New York Post, Omar openly mocked tributes to the Turning Point USA founder and dismissing claims that Kirk promoted civil political discourse.

“There are a lot of people who are talking about him [Kirk] just wanting to have a civil debate,” Omar sneered to progressive outlet Zeteo. “These people are full of s— and it’s important for us to call them out while we feel anger and sadness.”

Kirk, a prominent conservative voice and advocate for free speech on college campuses, was fatally shot Wednesday in Orem, Utah, sparking national outcry and bipartisan condolences — but Omar was not among those offering sympathy.

Instead, the far-left congresswoman used the moment to reignite political attacks, accusing Kirk of minimizing the death of George Floyd and opposing Juneteenth.

“There is nothing more f—ed up than to pretend that his words and actions haven’t been recorded and in existence for the last decade or so,” she said.

Omar also accused Kirk of posting “hateful rhetoric” on social media and appeared to imply that mourning him without addressing his political stances was disingenuous.

Her explosive comments come at a time of heightened national tension following Kirk’s assassination, with increased security surrounding high-profile conservative figures and renewed calls for civility in political discourse — calls Omar appeared to brush aside.

While most of Congress, including Vice President JD Vance, President Donald Trump, and even sports organizations like the Yankees, paid tribute to Kirk, Omar took the opportunity to vilify the late activist, igniting outrage among conservatives and deepening political divides in the wake of his killing.
