Democratic strategist James Carville literally claimed on âPolitics War Roomâ on Wednesday that Antifa is non-existent during an inflammatory rant.
Antifa amassed significant attention during the Summer 2020 riots, playing a major role in several Democratic-led cities, such as Seattle and Portland. Carville said in a video of the podcast posted to Politiconâs YouTube channel that since Antifa lacks an official leader, it is not real, comparing it to âvapor.â

âI donât know who the fuck Antifa is. I want to punch the president of Antifa? Give me his address,â Carville said. âWhere do I find this son of a bitch? ⌠Whereâs the headquarters? Who is the board of directors?â
âThere is no such thing as Antifa. Itâs like attacking vapor. There is no Antifa. So, Iâm defending air. Itâs the same thing. Or attacking air ⌠Iâm serious ⌠they loop into this and they keep repeating it and it doesnât exist. There is no such thing as Antifa,â he added. âItâs not an organization. Thereâs no nothing!â
Other Democrats and commentators on corporate media networks have also asserted that Antifa does not exist, especially not as an organization.
âThereâs no Antifa,â ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel claimed. âThis is an entirely imaginary organization. There is not an Antifa.â
President Donald Trump designated Antifa as a âdomestic terrorist organizationâ in a September executive order.
Trump directed his administration in the executive order to âutilize all applicable authorities to investigate, disrupt, and dismantle any and all illegal operations.â The Department of Justice on Thursday brought its first federal terrorism case against two individuals linked to the left-wing ideology who allegedly coordinated a July attack on a Texas federal immigration detention facility.
The president also announced on Oct. 8 that he planned to designate Antifa as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO).
Moreover, the White House hosted a roundtable with independent journalists on Oct. 8, during which they recounted violent attacks they experienced while covering Antifa protests.
