The Congressional Leadership Fund, the top House super PAC, canceled major advertisement buys Tuesday in Florida’s 25th congressional district to defeat Democratic Florida Rep. Jared Moskowitz.
The super PAC will pull $6 million in planned advertising to oppose Moskowitz, who is running for a third term in Congress against former Republican Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer, Punchbowl News first reported. Republicans were hopeful they could flip the seat in the district, although forecasters predicted that Moskowitz is in a better position to win.
The CLF is redirecting about $9 million to six Republican-held districts, including Arizona’s sixth district, Virginia’s second district and Pennsylvania’s eighth district. Republican Reps. Juan Ciscomani of Arizona, Jennifer Kiggans of Virginia and Rob Bresnahan Jr. of Pennsylvania face competitive reelection bids in these districts.
Singer’s campaign remained confident they would defeat Moskowitz, according to Florida Politics.
“We are very confident we are going to flip this seat and defeat Jared Moskowitz,” Singer spokesperson Michael Stwarka said. “Voters are responding to Scott’s proven record. They are souring on Jared especially when they learn he passed zero bills in Congress, that he vote to keep Ilhan Omar on her committee assignment, and that he focused his time stock trading while in office instead of getting things done. His record of results is abysmal and doesn’t stand up when compared to Scott’s. The voters will reject Jared Moskowitz for his abysmal record on Nov. 3.”
Singer’s and Moskowitz’s campaigns and the CLF did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
Cook Political Report moved the race from the “Toss Up” column to “Lean Democratic.” Sabato’s Crystal Ball moved the race’s rating into Moskowitz’s favor.
Moskowitz raised $5 million between Jan. 1, 2025 and Sept. 30, according to Federal Elections Commission (FEC) filings. Singer raised about $3 million between December 2025 and Sept. 30, according to FEC filings.
Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis unveiled a newly drawn congressional map that would help Florida gain four seats. The map intended to benefit Republicans in the 25th district as it no longer covers its former inland Broward County areas.
