Actress Tara Reid has reported that she was allegedly drugged at a hotel bar in Rosemont, Illinois, and says she is “willing to prosecute,” according to a police report filed Tuesday.
According to Fox News, the 50-year-old “American Pie” star told the Rosemont Police Department that she “completely blacked out” after a stranger allegedly tampered with her drink at the DoubleTree Hotel.
Reid described the scene as crowded with people she believed were YouTubers. “[Most] had their phones out and the whole thing felt suspicious, but I didn’t know what was going on,” she told police.
Reid said she had ordered a glass of white wine when a man identified as Sean P., described as a “very successful influencer and YouTuber,” approached and introduced himself.
The two reportedly went outside for a cigarette and exchanged phone numbers. Upon returning to the bar, Reid claimed she noticed a napkin covering her drink.
“Then the last thing I remember was drinking that drink and seeing a couple sitting next to us. The next thing I remember was waking up in the hospital around 8 hours or more later not knowing where I was or anything that happened. I completely blacked out with no recollection of anything,” she said.
According to the report, Reid said the influencer allegedly texted her videos the next day, which she perceived as an extortion attempt. He reportedly told her he “could stop the videos [from] going out.” Reid’s statement concluded, “I am willing to prosecute.”
The Rosemont Public Safety Department confirmed to Fox News Digital that they are actively investigating. “The Rosemont Public Safety Department understands the severity of the allegations being reported and are committed to investigating this incident fully,” the department said.
Authorities are working with the hotel to collect video surveillance.
Video obtained by TMZ shows Reid appearing disoriented, being assisted into a wheelchair, and later removed from the hotel on a stretcher by paramedics while onlookers shouted words of support. A source told Fox News Digital that Reid had noticed the napkin on her wine glass before taking two sips, after which she lost consciousness. Her agent later picked her up from the hospital, and Reid returned to Los Angeles.
“She is very worried about people leaving their drinks unsupervised, and she is traumatized by the incident,” the source added, highlighting the seriousness of the alleged encounter.
