A woman confronted Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) for not wearing a mask in a grocery store.

Matthew Torres, a WUSA reporter, posted a video of Youngkin visiting a grocery promoting his plan to eliminate grocery taxes.

“Governor, where is your mask?” the woman shouted.

Youngkin replied, “We’re all making choices today.”

She responded, “Yeah, look around you governor, you’re in Alexandria. Read the room buddy!”

While promoting his plan to eliminate grocery taxes, a customer strongly expressed disapproval over a maskless Youngkin.

While speaking to a roundtable of Northern Virginia residents, Youngkin said, “Today is about tackling the high costs in Virginia — the high costs I believe are unnecessarily borne by those that can afford it the least.”

Recognizing Americans have issues with the supply chain disruption, Youngkin explained, “But we’re just seeing added costs in the supply chain as well.”

Youngkin made headlines recently after seven school boards sued the governor to stop him from enforcing a mask-optional order, as IJR reported.

Fox News’ Peter Doocy mentioned the lawsuit during a White House press briefing, asking White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki who the president believes should be making decisions about mask wearing for students.

“The president believes that public health officials have the best guidance on what we could all do to protect ourselves,” Psaki said. “It’s always been up to local school districts to determine how they’re going to approach what measures they’re going to put into place.”

Youngkin later penned an op-ed published by The Washington Post titled, “Virginia’s parents can decide what’s best for their children.”

“A path through the end of this pandemic is possible while also respecting individual freedom and choice. We can keep kids in school, provide a parental opt out to mask mandates, and protect lives and livelihoods,” Youngkin wrote.

He later urged school boards to listen to the parents, saying, “To parents, I say: We respect you. And we will continue to work to empower you in the education and well-being of your children.”
