
Iraq, oficialmente la República de Iraq, es un país en Asia Occidental. Ubicado dentro de Oriente Medio, limita con Arabia Saudita al sur, Turquía al norte, Irán al este, el Golfo Pérsico y Kuwait al sureste, Jordania al suroeste y Siria al oeste. El país cubre un área de 438,317 kilómetros cuadrados (169,235 sq mi) y tiene una población de más de 46 millones, lo que lo convierte en el 58.º país más grande por área y el 31.º más poblado del mundo. Bagdad, hogar de más de 8 millones de personas, es la ciudad capital y la más grande del país.
