President Joe Biden is firing back at Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) for suggesting that he is âincapacitated.â
While fielding questions at the White House on Tuesday, the president was asked about Scottâs statement calling him âincapable of leadingâ and suggesting that he resign.
A reporter brought up the part in Scottâs statement in which he said, âThe most effective thing Joe Biden can do to solve the inflation crisis he created is resign.â
âResign? Thatâs a good idea,â Biden quipped.
Biden grinned as the reporter read Scottâs claim that he is confused and incapacitated.
âI think the man has a problem,â Biden said.
Watch the video below:
Scott responded to a portion of Bidenâs comments where he appeared to confuse which state the senator represented.
âThe president just said Iâm from Wisconsin⌠is so incapacitated and incoherent, he canât even keep his states straight,â he wrote on Twitter.
Biden also ripped into Scottâs 11-point plan he laid out for Republicans if they regain control of Congress during remarks about inflation on Tuesday.
He accused Republicans of wanting to address inflation by âraising your taxes and lowering your income.â
In a statement ahead of Bidenâs speech, Scott said, âItâs simple. The most effective thing Joe Biden can do to solve the inflation crisis he created is resign. Heâs the problem. Getting him out of office is a quick and easy solution.â
âLetâs be honest here. Joe Biden is unwell. Heâs unfit for office. Heâs incoherent, incapacitated and confused. He doesnât know where he is half the time. Heâs incapable of leading and heâs incapable of carrying out his duties. Period,â he continued.â
Finally, the Florida senator added, âEveryone knows it. No one is willing to say it. But we have to, for the sake of the country. Joe Biden canât do the job.â
Last week, he also criticized Scottâs plan, saying, âSenator Rick Scott of FloridaâŚreleased what he calls âthe ultra MAGA agenda.â
He added, âItâs a MAGA agenda, alright. Let me tell you about this âultra MAGA agenda.â Itâs extreme, as most MAGA things are.â
