16,170 Hatsan Air Rifles Recalled Over Misfire Risk
HatsanUSA is recalling about 16,170 Blitz and Blitz 777 air rifles because they can fire unexpectedly if the bolt is released before the rifle is fully cocked, creating a risk of serious injury or death. The affected rifles were sold nationwide and online from February 2020 through March 2026 for about $800 to $1,100; one accidental misfire has been reported, with no injuries. Owners should stop using the rifles immediately and ensure they are unloaded. HatsanUSA is offering a free replacement trigger assembly with instructions, or prepaid shipping for owners who prefer the company to inspect and replace the part.
