400,000 DREO Heaters Recalled Over Fire Risks
The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada have recalled DREO DR-HSH015 portable ceramic space heaters because they can overheat and ignite. The recall covers units manufactured from April 2025 through January 2026; more than 338,000 were sold in the United States and about 36,000 in Canada, from September 2025 through 2026. Officials report 17 ignition incidents, including property damage and a hand-burn injury. Owners should stop using the heaters and contact DREO for a free replacement; the process requires disabling the unit by cutting its power cord and submitting a photo.
