Zillow ranks cities with highest home values in four states
Stacker used Zillow’s Home Values Index as of September 2026 to rank the priciest home markets in Wyoming, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Tennessee. The typical U.S. home was valued at $366,913 that month, up 1.0% from a year earlier. The 30-year fixed mortgage rate was 7.4% as of October 15. Wilson led Wyoming at $3,293,225, up 5.6% in one year and 43.7% over five in the Jackson WY-ID metro. Oconomowoc Lake topped Wisconsin at $2,126,574 (+11.7% year over year) in the Milwaukee-Waukesha metro. Keystone led South Dakota at $620,968. Tennessee’s third through fifth places were Arrington at $1,173,154, Lookout Mountain at $1,080,952, and Franklin at $913,277, each with five-year gains above 30%. Sheridan held six of Wyoming’s top-30 cities. Ranked 30th were Sundance, Wyoming ($393,680); Waunakee, Wisconsin ($582,438); Colman, South Dakota ($369,339); and Vonore, Tennessee ($474,748). The same Stacker lists were syndicated across many other states. Left-rated and right-rated outlets published different state editions, not conflicting accounts of these four. No factual disputes appear in the record.
