Reinvigorated Sakic to remain Avalanche GM indefinitely, team sources say

Joe Sakic will remain the Colorado Avalanche’s full-time general manager indefinitely, with no external search for a replacement planned. He resumed the role in June after Chris MacFarland left to become the Nashville Predators’ president of hockey operations and general manager; Sakic previously served as Colorado’s GM from 2014 to 2022.
