Wisconsin United Ways Award $4 Million in Local Nonprofit Grants
United Way chapters across Wisconsin are distributing grants from the Otto Bremer Trust’s $4 million Community Responsive Fund, administered through 12 local United Ways. In Racine County, more than $203,000 will go to four organizations; in Marathon County, $152,500 was awarded to three nonprofits. Chippewa Valley recipients received $177,313 for free and affordable health care and housing assistance, while three Portage County organizations received $186,944 for adaptive recreation, food and rent assistance, and school-based mental health services. The awards support local programs addressing community needs, with grant nominations reviewed for eligibility and program impact.
