President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are statistically tied in approval rating, according to a poll.

Gallup released a poll showing the vice president’s approval rating stands at 44%, one point higher than Biden’s in a statistical tie. The poll noted Harris’ approval rating has dropped from 49% since September. Biden’s has remained steady at 43%. Harris’ disapproval rating has increased from 49% to 54%.

The poll was conducted from December 1 to 16.

Earlier this month, Axios reported that some staffers are leaving Harris’ office over “burnout, better opportunities and concern about being permanently branded a ‘Harris person.'”

A Democratic strategist said Harris is in need of  “someone loyal, who can think methodically to best position the vice president and to make sure everything she’s doing is being maximized and communicated to a broad population and get her numbers up.”

Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki if Harris is not satisfied with the staffing she has had or “do people just not want to work for her anymore?”

Psaki explained, “It’s natural for staffers who have thrown their heart and soul into a job to be ready to move on to a new challenge after a few years.”

The White House press secretary defended Harris earlier, arguing, “I do think that it has been easier and harsher from some in the right wing who have gone after her because she is the first woman, the first woman of color. I’m not suggesting anyone will acknowledge that publicly.”

She continued, “One of the things I really admire about the vice president: She is the first African American, woman of color, Indian American woman to serve in this job — woman.”

According to a report published by The New York Times, “Ms. Harris has privately told her allies that the news coverage of her would be different if she were any of her 48 predecessors, all of whom were white and male.”

She also reportedly “confided in them about the difficulties she is facing with the intractable issues in her portfolio, such as voting rights and the root causes of migration.”
