The CNIE would set the asset threshold, impose mandatory pre-approval or mitigation measures, and, if no decision is reached within the statutory period, treat the filing as a denial, as Mexico seeks to curb security risks while continuing to attract investment amid US pressure and ongoing USMCA concerns.
