CMA Plans Two-Hour Dolly Parton Tribute

Dolly Parton is being celebrated through several tributes, including a two-hour CMA television special featuring live performances, archival footage and personal stories, with proceeds benefiting her Imagination Library. Its announced performers include Lainey Wilson, Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown and many other country and entertainment stars. Zac Brown also honored Parton at a CMA Foundation event by introducing a message she recorded for music teachers before her death, highlighting her commitment to children and education. Fellow artists, including Shania Twain and Carly Pearce, have described Parton as a hero and mentor. In Nashville, artist Brittany Church created nine glass-mosaic statues inspired by different eras of Parton’s life and career for the new SongTeller Hotel and Museum.
