Kenya Confirms Second Ebola Death
Kenya has reported its second Ebola death: a 65-year-old woman, a close relative and direct contact of the country’s first patient, died after developing symptoms while in quarantine. She was the third confirmed case and died despite supportive care; seven of the nine confirmed patients remain in treatment at two isolation facilities. Health officials say all cases are linked to one known-contact cluster and report no evidence of community spread. The outbreak has also been reported in other African countries, while authorities urge the public to avoid contact with bodily fluids and seek care for possible symptoms.
