Titans' Gray Enters Concussion Protocol After UTV Accident
Tennessee Titans linebacker Cedric Gray sustained a concussion and minor injuries in a UTV accident in Tennessee over the weekend and has been placed in the NFL’s concussion protocol. His availability for Sunday’s season opener against the New York Jets is uncertain, and he must be cleared by an independent neurologist before returning. The Titans said they expect Gray to return once he is healthy and completes the protocol; reports said alcohol and reckless driving were not involved. Gray emerged as a key defensive player last season, recording about 160 tackles—among the NFL’s leaders—after being selected in the fourth round of the 2024 draft.
