Karasinski leads Northwestern against Stony Brook after 24-point game

Northwestern and Stony Brook both opened the season with wins and meet Friday in Evanston, where the Wildcats will seek to build on an 86-60 victory over Binghamton. Jack Karasinski led Northwestern with 24 points, while Jake West added 20 points and 12 assists; Stony Brook routed Division III SUNY Old Westbury 97-47, making Friday’s game a more demanding early test. Northwestern’s strong shooting and playmaking stood out in its opener, but the Wildcats will also look for bench contributions and more three-point production beyond Karasinski as they continue their homestand.
