Pitt and Penn State meet for 150th time at Palestra
Pitt and Penn State, both 2-0 to open the season, are set to meet Sunday night at Philadelphia’s Palestra in the 150th game between the in-state rivals, as the arena celebrates its 100th anniversary season. Pitt comes in after rallying from a 13-point halftime deficit to beat Buffalo 80-61, with Baye Ndongo posting 23 points and 21 rebounds and Chase Foster adding 20. Penn State is looking to build on two early wins but shore up its second-half defense after allowing 62 points in a narrow victory over Chattanooga. The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. and will air on ESPN2.
