Drone Strikes Halt Operations at Russian Refineries

Ukrainian drone attacks have disrupted operations at multiple Russian refineries. In the Samara region, strikes and fires at Rosneft’s Kuibyshev refinery destroyed three oil storage tanks, damaged pipelines and a pumping station, and forced the plant to halt crude processing; reports also say gasoline sales from the wider Samara refinery group have fallen. Separately, an overnight attack damaged the Novoshakhtinsk refinery in Rostov region, where authorities said about 50 drones were intercepted. The attacks come amid continuing strikes on energy infrastructure and efforts to negotiate a halt to attacks on energy assets.
