Russia-Ukraine Strikes Kill 10, Wound 71

Russian missile and drone attacks across Ukraine over several days killed at least 10 people and injured at least 71, with strikes reported in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kherson, Sumy, Odesa and other regions. In Kyiv, attacks damaged residential buildings, schools, offices, warehouses, vehicles, railway infrastructure and other civilian facilities, while officials reported 16 to 20 injuries, including children. A Russian drone strike on a civilian bus near Nikopol killed five people and injured seven, while separate attacks in Dnipropetrovsk reportedly killed three people and injured five others; a September 19 attack in Kyiv Oblast injured a mother and child and damaged an educational facility and a bus. Russia said it struck ports, fuel storage, logistics facilities and rail infrastructure carrying military supplies, while Ukraine reported attacks on a Russian oil refinery in Yaroslavl and a military airfield near Rostov-on-Don, claiming damage to aircraft and helicopters. Ukraine said it intercepted or suppressed most of the drones and some missiles, but battlefield claims were not independently verified.
