Ukraine Says Starlink Service Has Returned to Normal
Ukraine said Starlink and its military-focused Starshield had returned to normal operating speeds after more than a week of restrictions that disrupted frontline communications, drone missions and other military operations. Ukrainian officials said connections were stable at speeds above 400 kilometers per hour, restoring capabilities important for logistics and defense against Russian attack drones. British Prime Minister Andy Burnham had urged President Donald Trump during a Friday call to ensure Ukraine had full access to Starlink. The cause of the restrictions remains disputed: Kyiv has pointed to U.S. involvement, while Trump denied ordering them, and neither the U.S. government nor SpaceX accepted responsibility. The episode heightened tensions between Kyiv and Washington as the United States sought to revive peace talks with Russia and Ukraine.
