Democrat Analilia Mejia won a full two-year term representing New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District, defeating Republican Joe Hathaway in a rematch of April’s special election. Mejia, a progressive organizer and former leader of the New Jersey Working Families Party, won that special election after a crowded Democratic primary and became the district’s first Latina representative. Her campaign drew support from prominent progressives and grassroots organizing; Hathaway sought to appeal to voters concerned about Mejia’s criticism of Israel’s war in Gaza. Mejia has also criticized Trump administration policies and the privately operated Delaney Hall immigrant detention center.

No right coverage yet — a bubble gap.
It's good to have a full term settled so Mejia can focus on her agenda without another quick vote.
Hathaway tried the same approach twice but the results show this area stays reliably Democratic.
Mejia earned this win with her work on local issues, and the district's voters know what they want.
