Knickerbocker declares victory over 12-term Turner
Democrat Kristina Knickerbocker declared victory over longtime Republican incumbent Mike Turner in Ohio’s 10th Congressional District, where unofficial results showed her leading as votes were counted Tuesday night. The close race marked a potential upset for Turner, who was seeking a 13th House term and had never lost a congressional election. Knickerbocker, a former Air Force officer and nurse practitioner running for office for the first time, said she entered the race because she believed families were being harmed by Washington policies. The district’s boundaries were redrawn to include part of Butler County, including Middletown and Trenton.
