Trump Names Stephen Miller Chief of Staff

President Donald Trump announced that Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller will replace Susie Wiles as White House chief of staff beginning November 9, after Republicans lost control of Congress in the midterm elections. Trump praised Wiles and said she will move to his political operation; the transition follows calls from some former Trump allies for her to leave after the GOP defeats. Miller, a longtime Trump adviser and architect of the administration’s hard-line immigration policies, will take over the role. Wiles was Trump’s longest-serving chief of staff and the first woman to hold the position.
