Displaced Lebanese Residents Say Israeli Drones Raze Southern Villages

Displaced residents of Mansouri in southern Lebanon say they watch from neighboring Hanniyeh as Israeli drones and controlled demolitions destroy homes, farms and other community buildings, including the village school, according to Lebanese state media and residents. The demolitions have become a daily spectacle for families who fled after Israel ordered an evacuation and resumed strikes following a June truce with Hezbollah. Israel says its military operations target Hezbollah violations and underground infrastructure, including tunnel networks near the Ali Taher ridge, but has not publicly explained the demolitions in Mansouri or immediately responded to requests for comment. Residents accuse both Israel and the Lebanese government of abandoning them as they lose property and livelihoods, while more than 300,000 people remain displaced across Lebanon and negotiations have stalled.
