A missile reportedly struck a passenger terminal at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Saturday, Oct. 10. Dozens were injured; a hospital source said most were Saudi nationals, at least five were in intensive care, and some were airlifted by helicopter. The airport was evacuated after the reported strike and ambulances were seen rushing toward it. Ahmed Sayed said he heard at least two loud explosions. The last flight landed at 2:05 p.m. local time, per Flightradar24. FlightAware recorded at least 225 cancellations over the preceding 24 hours. Multiple airlines suspended Riyadh service. The US Embassy strongly recommends all U.S. citizens avoid this airport and surrounding areas; Canadian, German and Spanish embassies also warned citizens. Canada's embassy cited "ongoing military activity." WHAT IS CONTESTED: Saudi authorities had not confirmed the attack and did not immediately respond. The Houthis had not commented, so responsibility was unestablished. Earlier strikes this week killed a Sudanese national and injured eight on Wednesday, and three Saudi citizens including a pilot two days before Saturday. Houthis warned airlines "for the last time" about Saudi airspace. The EU Aviation Safety Agency said attacks "create an increased risk of misidentification of civil aircraft." Saudi authorities warned that filming impact sites "exposes you to legal liability" and cited "supporting diplomatic solutions to de-escalate tensions." Donald Trump, leaving the White House, said "It's not good" and "I'm not happy." No left-leaning rated coverage was found.

it's sad - Donnie is out to lunch, as usual. laying there like a blob, when America's historical guarantees of global security: (NATO, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia) all go to pot. apparently he just wants to sell his little medallion coins and that's about all he can deal with.
