Boise State wins 46-45 after Madsen injury

No. 20 Boise State rallied to beat Texas State 46-45 after surrendering a 28-3 halftime lead and falling behind 39-28 late in the game. Quarterback Maddux Madsen left in the fourth quarter with an apparent left-knee injury and watched from the sideline on crutches; coach Spencer Danielson said the injury’s severity was not yet known. Backup Max Cutforth threw three touchdown passes in the closing minutes to lead the comeback, including the game-winning score. Danielson said Madsen remains the team’s quarterback, while Cutforth is prepared to step in if needed.
