Iowa blanks Wisconsin, Oklahoma falls; Michigan beats Rutgers

Oklahoma hit a low point under coach Brent Venables in a 17-point home loss to South Carolina, as the Sooners’ offense stalled and their defense surrendered 521 yards, including 397 by quarterback LaNorris Sellers. At 4-4, Oklahoma now faces a difficult path to bowl eligibility. Iowa, meanwhile, shut out ranked Wisconsin 30-0, with quarterback Hank Brown completing 20 of 24 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns as the Hawkeyes extended their winning streak over the Badgers to five games. Wisconsin’s loss underscored its continuing struggles in the rivalry: the Badgers have scored no more than 10 points in any of those five defeats, while coach Luke Fickell has lost all four of his matchups against Iowa.
